Operator algebras provide a formal mathematical language for studying quantum mechanics. I am particularly interested in applications of operator algebras to quantum information theory, Cuntz–Krieger algebras, Cuntz–Pimsner algebras, unbounded derivations on C*-algebras, commutator relations, noncommutative geometry, and the classification of KMS states on C*-algebras…
